The school’s vision and mission statement are underpinned by the Archdiocesan vision, which challenges Catholics to:
· Embrace the person and vision of Jesus
· Build Communion with God and others
· Engage in Christ’s mission in our world
The school vision statement is consistent with the Brisbane Catholic Education vision of a faith-filled learning community creating a better future - calling us to Teach, Challenge and Transform. The school vision forms the basis of the school’s education program, and guides education and organisational practices across the school.
As an ecumenical community, the school welcomes and honours the Christian traditions represented within it. Students, families and staff come from a range of Christian backgrounds including Catholic, Anglican, Apostolic and Uniting churches. While grounded in the Catholic tradition of Brisbane Catholic Education, the school values this shared Christian heritage and works to nurture a respectful and inclusive faith community. Through prayer, learning and daily relationships, students are encouraged to grow in faith, develop an understanding of the teachings of Jesus, and live out Christian values in service to others.
School Vision
Jubilee is a welcoming ecumenical community that shapes, nurtures and celebrates the whole child.
Through Faith, Learning and Unity, we empower our students to learn, excel and to make a difference in their ever-changing world.
School Mission
As people of FAITH, and with Jesus as our guide, we are enriched through life and service as taught in the gospels. We live out our Christian values through thoughts, words and actions and in the words of Mary McKillop we aim to “never see a need without doing something about it”.
As people of LEARNING, we develop lifelong learners by nurturing growth, diversity and inclusion through collaboration and innovation. We value the uniqueness and dignity of each child and cater for their individual learning needs with engaging learning experiences that inspire, motivate and challenge. Our learners are equipped for contemporary learning and for the challenges of the future.
As people of UNITY, we join as one to embrace our differences and celebrate all that we share in our past, present and future. We commit to working in partnership with children, their families and school staff and reach out to those in need in the wider community, offering compassion and support. We unite in living the gospel.
