Uniform Policy and Procedure

At Jubilee Primary School, wearing the correct school uniform is compulsory when travelling to and from school and during all school-related activities. Students are expected to wear their uniform with pride and maintain a neat and tidy appearance at all times.

General Appearance Guidelines

  • Hair must be neat and tidy. Hair at or below shoulder length must be tied back with white or navy blue accessories.
  • Hair should be natural in colour and styled appropriately for primary school. No haircuts shorter than a number two.
  • All clothing and personal items must be clearly labelled with the student’s name.
  • School shoes must be clean and polished. Velcro shoes are acceptable for Prep and Year 1 only.
  • Basketball boots, high tops, or ankle boots are not permitted unless for sport.
  • The school enforces a NO HAT – NO PLAY policy to support sun safety.
  • Make-up and nail polish are not permitted.
  • Acceptable jewellery includes religious necklaces/medals, alert tags, wristwatches, and small earrings (sleepers no larger than 1 cm or plain studs, one per ear lobe).
  • Body art or piercings are not permitted. Temporary tattoos must not be visible.

Prep Uniform

  • Jubilee Prep polo (not tucked in)
  • Navy Jubilee microfiber shorts
  • Jubilee school socks
  • White lace-up or Velcro joggers
  • Jubilee hat
  • Jubilee jacket and track pants (winter option)

Boys (Years 1–6)

Formal Uniform:

  • Teal Jubilee shirt (tucked in)
  • Navy Jubilee dress shorts
  • Black lace-up leather school shoes (no buckles/zips; heel ≤ 3 cm)
  • Jubilee ankle socks
  • Jubilee hat

Winter Option:

  • Navy Jubilee trousers
  • Jubilee tracksuit jacket
  • Jubilee track pants (sport winter option)

Sports Uniform:

  • House sport polo
  • Jubilee sports shorts
  • Mostly white, non-marking sole sport shoes
  • Jubilee school socks

Girls (Years 1–6)

Formal Uniform:

  • Teal Jubilee dress (length ≤ 5 cm from floor when kneeling)
  • Black lace-up leather school shoes (no buckles/zips; heel ≤ 3 cm)
  • Jubilee school socks
  • Navy Jubilee hat
  • Hair accessories: white or navy ribbons, scrunchies, elastics, or clips

Winter Option:

  • Navy tights
  • Jubilee tracksuit jacket
  • Jubilee track pants (sport winter option)

Sports Uniform:

  • House sport polo
  • Jubilee sports shorts
  • Mostly white, non-marking sole sport shoes
  • Jubilee school socks

Additional Items

Bags:

  • Jubilee backpack (compulsory; junior and senior sizes available; optional for Prep)
  • Jubilee library bag (compulsory; also used for excursions/swimming)
  • Jubilee homework folder (compulsory)

Sporting Apparel:

  • One-piece navy racers and swimming caps for both boys and girls
  • Navy racers are compulsory for interschool carnivals
  • Jubilee visor may be worn only during interschool sports

Undergarments:

  • Must be worn
  • Black or navy bike pants may be worn under dresses/skorts (not visible)
  • Boxers must not be visible under boys’ shorts

​Note: It is essential that all items of clothing, including shoes, hats, bags, and jackets, are clearly labelled with your child’s name (label jackets inside the clips).

All Jubilee Primary School uniform items—including formal and sports uniforms, school hats, bags, and satchels—are available for purchase at:

Lowes – Westfield Helensvale

  • Location: Westfield Shopping Centre, Helensvale
  • Store: Lowes (school wear​ section)
  • Availability: Full range of Jubilee uniforms including Prep and Years 1–6 items

An email is sent to families during Term 4 with:

  • Your child’s assigned sports house team
  • A current Lowes price list for all uniform items 

Additional Notes

  • Please ensure all items are clearly labelled with your child’s name.
  • Lost property is held at Student Reception.
  • If your child is unable to wear a particular item on a school day, please notify their class teacher.
